24 Oct 2010Since the publication of Basel II in 2004, operational risk is considered as one of the primary financial risks. Managing operational risk in financial services is a significant challenge due to the variety and vastness of the areas, which belong to that discipline. Although the first PRiM Risk Newsletter, which was published in 2003, was dedicated to Basel II and, to a large degree, operational risk, this issue is the first one to focus entirely on operational risk.
